At age 30 Fredrik Paulsen embarked on his first great adventure; taking over the reins of his fathers pharmaceutical company. After turning the company into a multinational corporation he began to recall his childhood imaginings of exploring unknown places. Inspired by Viking tales from his home land of Sweden, he set off to explore the worlds colder climes.
In 2000 he reached the North Pole, only to then discover there are several other extreme poles on our planet, four in the northern hemisphere and four in the southern hemisphere. He set out to be the first person to reach all eight poles.
