Can't Wait to Fly

This debut album has been long awaited by friends and fans. Cheryl co-wrote the title track with Grammy Award winning singer/songwriter, the late Harold Gay in 2003. With two exceptions, all the songs on this album were penned by Cheryl or with a co-writer. Many of the songs lean toward the country genre and the originality makes it hard for comparisons with any well-known artist. You need to listen for yourself to appreciate this beautifully heartfelt, soulful voice. Canadian born, she started singing professionally at age 23 and toured western Canada and northwestern Ontario for eight years honing her vocal and guitar playing talents. Powder grew up as Cheryl Briem in the tiny northern Manitoba town of Wabowden, and ultimately ended up in the U.S. in 1998. She's been in Spring Creek, NV in Elko County since then and performs regularly for appreciative local audiences with her band, quot;Road Rashquot;.
