This is a 1960s sliding four door credenza, Model 541, designed by Florence Knoll in 1952. This example dates to the 1960s, and features off white enamel-coated doors. The sliding doors open to reveal adjustable shelves and open storage. The frame of the piece is steel, and It retains its original bow-tie label, allowing us to accurately date it to the early 1960s.
This credenza measures 18.75 inches deep, 75.5 inches wide, and 28.75 inches high. We have intentionally left this cabinet in as-found condition in order to showcase the piece’s history. Upon request, our team can clean and polish the legs, and we can additionally have the case sanded and refinished to black or stripped down to its underlying walnut. Overall, this credenza is in good vintage condition with ample signs of age and wear apparent. Please see photos.
