BREAKOUT SUNDAY

Breakout Sunday is Bella and Daisys` story. A story of love, sacrifice, and the coming of age of our heroine Bella. Bella is abandoned by her mother when she is four years old, into the care of her grandmother, Daisy.The book begins with Bella in primary school and follows her journey into high school and concludes when she is sixteen. Her life is a little different from other girls, because her and Daisy are a team, they work together and play together and Bella inherits Daisy`s passion for painting and surfing. She finds herself involved in the lives of many of her friends, and together they face the problems of the modern world – bullying, teenage drinking, depression and the heartache that comes from broken families. Bella displays a confidence beyond her years, she is determined, compassionate and loyal, which makes her the best friend anyone could ever have.Bella has one weakness, and that is her friend`s brother Luke. He is four and a half years older than her, and they have known each other forever. She does not let the age difference deter her, and he finds her adoration amusing. Bella thinks all she has to do is wait, and when she is older, he will fall under her spell.But even with all the drama that life throws her way, most Sundays her and Daisy can be found at the local take away shop digging into a hamburger with the lot, hot chips and a Coca-Cola, they call it Breakout Sunday.
