Description: The Black Phantom Tetra is a peaceful, schooling fish that originates from Central and South America. This fish is ideal for peaceful communities in freshwater aquaria. Great tank mates for the Black Phantom Tetra include live bearers (ex: guppies, platys, etc.), peaceful barbs (ex: cherry barbs), Corydoras sp. catfish, and peaceful dwarf cichlids (ex: rams, Apistogramma sp., etc.). We recommend keeping Black Phantom Tetras in a school of six individuals or more to keep them as healthy and stress-free as possible. This fish is hardy and is great to start the nitrogen cycle with as the first fish in the tank. They prefer a pH around 7.0 and a temperature of 78°F. This fish is a great fish for both beginner and expert aquarists alike!
