For more than three decades, the C4 Camalot from Black Diamond has been the benchmark spring-loaded cam on trad racks worldwide, and its construction remains the standard for reliable placements in everything from fingertip cracks to offwidths. Available in sizes 0.3 through 8, the range is color-coded for fast rack scanning and covers crack widths across the full spectrum of technical climbing. Sculpted cam lobes are engineered for an optimized strength-to-weight ratio at each size, with per-unit weights running from 70g (size 0.3) to 960g (size 8). Nylon slings are replaceable through Black Diamond's resling service for long-term serviceability, and an innovative trigger keeper on sizes 4 through 8 holds the lobes contracted on the rack for controlled placement in wide and offwidth cracks.
