Aquael Internal UV Filter

UNI FILTER UV features ultraviolet light-emitting diodes that help keep aquarium water crystal-clear and provide optimum living conditions for inhabitants. A double sponge cartridge ensures uninterrupted operation even under demanding conditions, while an extra media container allows expansion with additional biological or chemical filtration.

UNIFILTER UV is designed for efficient cleaning and aeration of aquarium water. Apart from mechanical and biological filtration, the unit sterilises water using UV LEDs to prevent the growth of floating algae, protozoa and harmful bacteria, improving water clarity and promoting a healthier environment for fish. UV LEDs can be switched on and off independently of the filter. The filter’s performance is easy to adjust via the dial formed by the rotor dome, and the direction of water outflow can be changed by up to 90° for flexible circulation.

The larger models are equipped with a ceramic rotor axis for quieter operation and enhanced durability. The specially designed filter media chamber prevents water from flowing out of the filter into the aquarium during water changes or when the unit is removed for maintenance.

Maintenance is straightforward: two separate sponge cartridges can be removed and cleaned alternately to protect colonies of nitrifying bacteria that are essential for nitrogen cycling. Cleaning cartridges in turns ensures uninterrupted filtration and stable biological processes.
