Performance

EFFORTLESS COOLING
Some stills require constant adjustment of cooling water flow. With the Alcoengine Pot Still, all you need is a consistent minimum flow rate. As long as you have enough coolant, flow speed does not matter. This makes the system much easier to use compared to many other brands. It is important to maintain a minimum of 8 litres per minute after the condenser outlet. If you are using a pump, make sure it is high pressure. We recommend mains water here in Australia, which typically provides about 100 psi.

SIMPLE, RELIABLE DESIGN
This still is incredibly user-friendly, and we stand by it with a guarantee that you will get excellent results quickly. Once you have adequate coolant flowing, the rest takes care of itself.

WIDE COMPATABILITY
The Alcoengine Pot Still fits a wide range of boilers. You can even drill a 47mm hole in the lid of a pot and attach the still without any issues. It is compatible with many standard options including Turbo Boilers, Robobrew, and Grainfather, and it can also be attached to stainless steel kegs with a 2" tri-clover clamp (not included).

SOLID COPPER CONSTRUCTION
This still is made from solid copper, not stainless steel or copper-plated alternatives. Copper removes sulfur compounds during distillation, improving the quality of your spirit by reducing harsh off-flavours. Copper is more costly, but the results speak for themselves, and it remains the preferred material for serious distillers. A solid copper still will last you a lifetime.

EASY SETUP
Assembly is straightforward. Connect your coolant supply or garden hose and you are ready to go. For better water efficiency, we recommend using a 500L tank with a high-pressure recirculation pump, such as those from Ozito. A smaller pump may struggle, so choose one with strong pressure capability.
Before starting your first run, use Teflon tape on fittings and check for leaks. It is far easier to make adjustments before heating begins.
