Description: This is a great reef wrasse for most aquaria, reaching a max size of six inches. This wrasse originates from the Indian Ocean and some areas around South Africa. This fish has a pastel blue, green base color with light pink horizontal stripes running along its body and two black spots on its dorsal fin. Adorned Wrasses will readily consume all frozen and dry foods. This wrasse buries itself in the sand for defensive purposes, so do not be alarmed if it goes missing for a few days. The aquarium must have a sandbed to accommodate this fish, as a bare-bottom tank may cause stress. A tight-fitting lid is a MUST as this fish can easily jump out of the tank. Do not mix this wrasse with other Halichoeres sp. wrasses.
