This book is about a man who was given up for adoption and spends his life (which flows through the book in memories) wishing to find his birth parents. The story is heavily influenced by the popular music of the times and there is a secret twist in it which will only be apparent to the keen mind.
Cal Sanderson is a novelist, poet, playwright and musician with each pursuit under different pseudonyms. He has published four books of fiction (one a children's allegory of the Northern Irish peace process), a diary of a two hundred kilometer swimming journey along Ireland's coast and four books of poetry on top of which he has a few hundred poems yet to commit to books.

He has written three plays as a modern day homage to Dublin in the vein of O Casey's original portrayals. One of these plays was staged by Firedoor Theatre in Dublin. He has also released seventeen albums of contemporary music and song.

Meanwhile, he is a civil servant.
